Opening of diplomatic relations between the Principality of Monaco and Grenada
On October 13, 2020, Grenada became the 151st State to establish diplomatic relations with the Principality of Monaco, following the signing of joint communiques by the Permanent Representatives to the United Nations in New York, H.E. Ms. Keisha McGuire and H.E. Ms. Isabelle Picco.
Small island developing state in the Caribbean, and member of the United Nations since 1974, Grenada faces several recurring challenges linked to the impact of climate change such as floods, drought and hurricane seasons that become longer and more dangerous each year.
Like the Principality, Grenada was elected to one of the 16 vice-presidencies of the UN General Assembly for this session, commemorating the UN's 75th anniversary.
Our States will continue their close collaboration for sustainable development, in particular regarding the oceans and seas.
